Dr. Bill Durston ran in 2008 as the Democratic candidate for House of Representatives in California's 3rd Congressional District to give voters a choice for change. Bill ran against an incumbent career politician who was in virtual lock-step with the Bush Administration. Despite an impressive Durston for Congress grass roots campaign, the incumbent was re-elected, receiving 49% of the vote compared to Bill's 44%, with third party candidates receiving the remaining 6% of the vote.
