Upcoming Events

• Friday and Saturday, July 4 and 5 - There will be 4th of July events where Durston supporters can volunteer and spread the word about Bill at picnic style neighborhood events. Voter Registration booths will be set up in Rancho Cordova at Hagan Park and in Elk Grove at Elk Grove Park. Bill will be at the Democratic Booth at Elk Grove Park from 12 noon to 8 PM on July 4 and at the Democratic Booth at Hagan Park in Rancho Cordova from 12 noon to 8 PM on July 5. You can volunteer to work a couple of hours and talk to your neighbors. We hope to see lots of volunteers wearing Durston T-shirts at both events.
• Tuesday, July 8, 6:30 - 8:30 PM - House Party at the home of Chris Lewis in Carmichael at 4900 Kenneth Ave. Bill will do a recap of the 4th of July activities and address upcoming campaign events. • Thursday, July 10, 7:00 - 9:00 PM - House Party at the home of Ann Bowns at 7584 Community Drive in Citrus Heights. This is the 2008 campaign's first Citrus Heights House Party. • Friday, July 11, 7:00 - 9:00 PM - House Party in Arden Park at the home of Frank and Mary Awender at 3760 Las Pasas Way. Come join Arden area residents to welcome Bill and Diane and hear how you can help this great campaign. • Saturday, July 12, 10 am - noon - Come to a coffee-reception for Bill at Soil Born Farm's American River Ranch in the Parkway, 2140 Chase Drive, Rancho Cordova. There will be coffee, espresso, lattes, breakfast pastries and fresh local fruit. This event is hosted by Warren Harding, Jude Lamare, Betsy Weiland and Maxine Clark. • Saturday, July 12, 7:00 - 9:00 PM - House Party at the beautiful Foxworth home at 4338 Walali Way in Fair Oaks. Hosted by Peggy Smith, Eric Warp, Sandy Adams and George and Doni Foxworth. Come join Bill and Diane as they discuss the Durston for Congress campaign with the citizens of Fair Oaks. There you will be able to meet Bill and Diane along with other constituents in the area. • Friday, July 18, 7:00 - 9:00 PM - House Party at Joe and Diane Ramsey's house in Fair Oaks at 7737 Greenridge Way. Joe and Diane have been staunch supporters of Bill since the very beginning. • Saturday, July 19, 11:00 - 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM - House Party at the wonderful home of Janice and Harry Wang at 10 Dumfries Court in Sacramento. Co-sponsors are Stella Levy and Richard Cohen. Join other Sacramento area citizens to learn more about the Durston for Congress campaign and to meet Bill and Diane. This will be a great opportunity to find out what this campaign means to you and to get to know other Dr. Bill Durston supporters. Great food and refreshments will also be provided. • Friday, August 1, 6:00 - 8:00 PM - Sacramento supporters will gather to raise funds and sign-up volunteers at an event hosted by Eric Vega and Janet Vining. • Sunday, September 14 - Join the popular foothills band, Mimosa, at the Jackson Rancheria for a fantastic fundraiser for the Bill Durston for Congress campaign. Keep you eye on this spot, more details to come.
• Saturday, September 27, 6 - 9 PM - House party at the home of Jo Souvignier and Rod Nystrom at 4714 Salem Way, Carmichael. Co-hosted by Steve Reed and Ed Unutoa. • Habitat for Humanity Galt Team - The Galt Team was established to energize the Galt area into providing community support for constructing Habitat homes in their community. On Saturdays and some days during the week, the team is building a house in Galt at 719 Simon Street. Durston for Congress volunteers are encouraged to support this effort by showing up in Durston T-shirts and helping build this house. Galt is an important part of Congressional District 3 and this will help get the word out about Bill Durston and the 2008 campaign.
